Minnesota State Capitol

Event Details
Every year, Minnesota's poultry industry flocks to St. Paul to meet directly with state representatives. This is the growers' opportunity to talk directly with their representatives, speak on behalf of Minnesota Turkey and tell their farming story. it's important legislators connect a face and a story with an issue. For 2027, the agenda will be different then previous years. MTGA has reserved a room inside the capitol building. Key representatives, i.e. agriculture committee and environmental committee members, chamber leadership, and representatives of high turkey producing regions as well as state agency leadership will be invited to the room to meet with the turkey industry representatives. This will take place instead of going to the representatives' offices. If an attendee would like to meet with a specific representative, please let Peter Scharpe know and he can try to schedule a meeting. All activities, briefings, meetings, and lunch will take place in the same room inside the Capitol basement.
